Public Relations

 

 

Furnish members with a bulletin that includes the previous meeting - plus current and future planned activities.  Furnish information to the news media as appropriate.  
Program Committee Provide speakers for Tuesday evening meetings.
Administrative & Interclub Relations Enhance the club meeting each week by providing music and other activities to support the evening program.  Enhance fellowship among the members and with visiting Interclub members.  Arrange for Interclub visits with other clubs.
Meeting Preparation Prepare meeting room for weekly meeting.  Includes setting up banners, installing portable speaker system, preparing head table and any other functions which will enhance the evening's program.
Membership & Growth Devise ways and means of maintaining an adequate membership of such standards that are provided in the club bylaws.  The committee shall consider all proposals for membership and shall submit recommendations to the Board of Directors.  The committee shall devise effective plans for the orientation and induction of new members and the utilization of all members.
New Club Development Assist in establishing new Kiwanis Clubs as outlined in the New-Club Sponsorship Agreement.
Community Service Work to improve all aspects of the community by studying, devising and suggesting community service projects that can be performed by this club.
Youth Services Develop methods and means to assist our youth (ages 6 through adult) with the ability to understand our environment and become adapted to the social, economic, and moral demands they may encounter.
Young Children Priority One Address the needs of young children (prenatal through age 5) in the community.
Human & Spiritual Values Cooperate on broad and nondenominational lines with religious leaders and groups in the community to create a greater individual and public consciousness of the importance of religious and spiritual values.
Sponsored Youth Key Club Encourage, promote and financially support the Geneseo Key Club.
Sponsored Youth Builders Club Encourage, promote and financially support the Geneseo Builders Club.
Fundraising Committees Organize and lead fundraising activities of the club.  Activities include Pancake Day, "Pork in the Park" and Peanut Day.
